Network Connections
In a previous article, we have discussed the various network protocols and layers in networking. In this article, we shall discuss the about the type of connection between devices interconnected in a network. Ethernet and CSMA/CD are some technologies based on the protocols we have learnt. A data is segmented into packets and in layer headers are included for error-checking. These headers are also essential for routing the packet from sender to receiver. There are two methods for routing (circuit switching and packet switching) discussed briefly in this article.
